HOLLYWOOD DENIM

This capstone project marked the culmination of my product development journey at the University of Missouri. Together with my partner, Millie, we created a two-look collection called Hollywood Denim, inspired by the timeless style of 1930s actress and singer Ginger Rogers. Our primary focus was on sustainability, using recycled denim, while also prioritizing size inclusivity.

Over several months, we collected over 70 donated denim items and dedicated countless hours to research and design. We produced 15+ sketches, draped more than 10 mock-up designs, and sewed two practice garments. Using CLO 3D software, we created patterns before ultimately cutting and transforming every piece of denim into pattern pieces for the final collection.

This project was one of the most humbling and rewarding experiences of my time in college, pushing me to grow both creatively and technically.
